Electronic Repair
Diagnosis and repair of electronic equipment for domestic, commercial and specialist applications. We investigate the underlying cause of failure and repair at component or PCB level wherever practical rather than automatically replacing complete assemblies.

PCB Diagnostics
Detailed investigation of printed circuit boards using electronic test and measurement equipment to locate power, signal and component faults.
Diagnostic techniques can include voltage and resistance measurements, power-rail analysis, oscilloscope signal tracing, thermal investigation, semiconductor testing and examination of individual circuit sections.

Component-Level Fault Finding
Rather than automatically replacing an entire PCB, we investigate individual circuit sections and components to determine the actual cause of failure.
Depending upon the equipment and fault, repairs may involve replacement of defective capacitors, resistors, diodes, transistors, MOSFETs, IGBTs, voltage regulators, rectifiers, connectors and other electronic components, together with PCB track or solder-joint repairs where appropriate.

Equipment Equipment Assessment
Not every faulty item should immediately be repaired. We can assess electronic equipment to determine its condition, likely cause of failure and whether further diagnosis or repair is technically and economically worthwhile.
This can be particularly useful for older, valuable, specialist or difficult-to-replace equipment.

Prototype Investigation
Assistance with electronic prototypes and one-off electronic assemblies that are not operating as expected.
We can investigate power supplies, signals, component operation and circuit behaviour to help identify hardware faults, assembly problems or unexpected electronic behaviour.

Legacy & Obsolete Electronic Equipment
Older electronic equipment can remain perfectly serviceable even when manufacturer support has ended or replacement assemblies are no longer available.
We can investigate legacy electronic equipment at PCB and component level, identify failed or deteriorating components and, where practical, source suitable original or replacement components to extend the equipment’s useful life.

Commercial Electronic Fault Diagnosis
Component-level investigation of faulty commercial electronic equipment and PCB assemblies.
Where replacement assemblies are unavailable, obsolete or disproportionately expensive, component-level diagnosis may provide a practical alternative to replacing complete equipment.
We are particularly interested in unusual, obsolete and technically challenging electronic faults.
